Steven Thompson - Proprietor, Conditioning Specialist & Nutrition guru

Bio: Born in
St.Paul Minnesota Steve has spent over 20 years of his life in Colorado Springs.
Growing up like so many with the hopes of being a professional athlete while at the same time not being born with the "god-given" talent to standout in any particular area,  He dedicated most of his childhood time to studying the fundamentals of each sport and activity that he participated in and spent countless hours working on improving the skills that would enable him to be the best on every team he played on.
Steve was fortunate to grow up in a household  with a Mother who let him choose his path, threw thousands and thousands of pop fly's and ground balls to him, carted him off to hockey practice at 4:30Am several days per week and a Dad that provided him with every opportunity to find the sport that he could be the best at.
These days his free time is spent riding and racing mountain bikes, traveling with his family, writing blogs for various websites and constantly trying to figure out what types of training protocols and nutrition strategies fuel the human body in the most efficient manner.

I have a very straightforward yet slightly relaxed philosophy when it comes to the big picture of " fitness"
Every client comes to me with a different starting level of fitness and each also has their own set of goals both short and long term, The key to getting the most out of each individual is to first understand what makes them tick, determine how hard they want to work both in the training center as well as the other 23 hours a day when I am not at thier side. Once I figure out what motivates them I can then start building the base of thier training and nutrition - I am not a baby sitter and I am far from a drill Sargent, I believe that balance is the key to life and that remains true when it comes to exercise and food intake.    I believe that hard work  and reward go hand in hand both on a  physical and mental level so the key to long term fitness is to be consistent with your training and nutrition - you don't have to be perfect all of the time however to make steady progress you must be dedicated to your training and aware of your daily habits
when it comes to daily food intake.
